Jeremy Pletcher is a high school math teacher with more than 20 years’ experience in the classroom. With a bachelor’s degree in Mathematics Education from Pensacola Christian College, he has been teaching math ranging from basic math to Pre-Calculus during his career. Over the past decade, he has noticed a lack of intermediate material for students who want to go to college, do well on the SAT, but have no need or desire to take calculus or to enter a field of study requiring calculus. He took on the task of writing a book to fill this gap, Survey of Mathematics.
